PORTICO are launching their debut CD with a release party on Friday, Nov 25th at the Backstage Lounge, joined by special guests The Approach & Cadeaux. The band combines striking female vocals with tight, angular indie rock and a big sound. Featuring past and present members of Pluteous and Trains Across The Sea, their musical touchstones including Blonde Redhead, Tortoise and Slint. Be sure to come celebrate with this cool, eclectic, independent band as they treat friends and fans to their latest songs! http://www.porticonation.com

THE APPROACH - Featuring members of Closed Caption Radio, Red Light Sting and Donkey Engine, The Approach's avant-rock sound mixed with energetic, poignant, math-rock elements has been gathering them new fans every time they play. http://www.theapproach.ca
